Our Journey .....

A dream carried a long way......Cotton Valley !

Cotton Valley School was founded in the year 2020 by two engineers, Mr.Kaviyarasu.G and Mrs.Kavipriya Raju, who moved to India in 2016 to return to their roots after living  in the UK and USA for more than a decade. The school's core beliefs are guided by a long-held vision: to create a community of children who are naturally blossomed into happy lifelong learners for the rest of their lives while being friends of the environment.

G.Kaviyarasu

Kaviyarasu, an IT SAP Consultant who has worked for leading banks and financial institutions in the UK and USA , is also an ardent sports lover who has won laurels at the national and international level in horse riding, show jumping and tennis.

Coming from a family (Late Mr. Subburaya Gounder-Vice Chairman of Tirupur Muncipal Corporation) that prioritised service to the society, his patriotism for his roots led him to move to India from the UK. Being an avid animal lover, who witnessed children blossom in natural early learning environments in the UK, inspired him to found a school that strives to foster a love of learning in a healthy, holistic, natural learning space.

Kavipriya Raju

Kavipriya Raju, a civil engineer by profession, left behind her well-merited corporate job in the UK to pursue her passion and love for children. She has worked as an early childhood educator in early learning centers in the UK and in India for many years before pursuing her dream of Cotton Valley. Working in a holistic and socially responsible learning space every other day in an early learning center in the UK, she witnessed the joy and happiness in children that were gifted by a nurturing holistic learning environment, which was the founding inspiration for creating Cotton Valley.

With the working experience gained in early childhood education over the past decade, she has continuously worked towards enhancing her professional learning journey. She has her diploma in early childhood education from Finland and pedagogy training from mentors around the globe. While working as an early childhood educator and center coordinator, she headed the British Council's International School Project Award,UK, for bringing the international dimension of learning into the early childhood education environment.

She strongly believes that children’s experiences in nature stay with them for the rest of their lives. They benefit physically, cognitively, and emotionally from this kind of learning. She desired a school that valued both moral and emotional intelligence equally. Cotton Valley's pedagogy and philosophy are in line with these deep beliefs and values. With this inspiration and optimism, a school was founded with the goal of fostering children's development into independent, free, and integrated young adults.

She has received the "Top 10 Teachers" from IEA and the "SIWAA" recognition for her social work as an educator towards underprivileged children. She has been active in social work for different charities throughout her stay in the UK. To play her part in making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children, she started the project "Be My Genii" in 2016, granting the wishes of less fortunate children, which is also one of the CSR projects of the Cotton Valley Foundation.

With this abiding love for children, understanding and bringing our dream to life, we present "Cotton Valley School" as our humble offering to the children.
