Cotton Valley School was founded by Mr Kaviyarasu G. and Mrs Kavipriya Raju, two engineers whose journey from the UK and USA back to India in 2016 was inspired by a heartfelt longing to return to their roots and contribute meaningfully to their homeland.
Born from a deep love for children and a shared belief in the power of holistic education, the school reflects their vision of creating a warm, nurturing community where every child can blossom naturally — growing with joy, curiosity, and confidence. At Cotton Valley, learning is not just an academic pursuit but a way of life, grounded in respect for nature, empathy for others, and a lifelong love for discovery.
G.Kaviyarasu & Kavipriya Raju
Kaviyarasu, an accomplished IT SAP Consultant with a distinguished career supporting leading banks and financial institutions across the UK and USA, is also a passionate sportsman who has achieved national and international acclaim in horse riding, show jumping, and tennis.
Rooted in a legacy of public service—his late grandfather, Mr Subburaya Gounder, served as Vice Chairman of the Tirupur Municipal Corporation— Kaviyarasu’s deep connection to his roots inspired his return to India from the UK. Kaviyarasu firmly believes that children’s encounters with nature leave an enduring imprint—nurturing their physical, cognitive, and emotional growth. His vision was to create a school that honours both moral and emotional intelligence, fostering balance, empathy, and curiosity. Cotton Valley’s pedagogy and philosophy are deeply rooted in these convictions, aiming to guide children toward becoming independent, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals. A devoted animal and sports enthusiast, he was profoundly influenced by the nurturing, nature-based early learning environments he encountered abroad. Guided by this inspiration, he founded a school dedicated to cultivating a lifelong love of learning within a holistic and nature-focused educational setting.
Kavipriya Raju, a civil engineer by qualification, chose to leave behind a rewarding corporate career in the UK to follow her true passion—working with and nurturing children. With extensive experience as an early childhood educator in both the UK and India, she eventually channelled her deep commitment to holistic education into founding Cotton Valley. Her years spent in early learning centres abroad, where she witnessed the profound joy and growth that arise from nurturing, nature-inspired environments, became the driving force behind the creation of Cotton Valley.
Over the past decade, Kavipriya has continually advanced her professional learning in early childhood education. She holds a diploma in early childhood education from Finland and has received pedagogical training from renowned mentors across the globe. During her tenure as an educator and centre head, she led the British Council’s International School Project Award (UK) initiative, integrating global learning perspectives into early childhood education. Her outstanding contributions to the field have earned her numerous accolades and recognition.
Actively involved in charitable initiatives throughout her time in the UK, Kavipriya founded the “Be My Genie” project in 2016—an initiative that fulfils the wishes of less fortunate children and now stands as one of the flagship CSR projects of the Cotton Valley Foundation.
With this enduring love for children and unwavering commitment to meaningful education, Cotton Valley School was envisioned and brought to life—a heartfelt offering dedicated to nurturing young minds in a holistic, compassionate, and inspiring learning environment.
With this deep and abiding love for children, and a shared dream brought to life through understanding and purpose, we present Cotton Valley School as our heartfelt offering — a place created with warmth, care, and hope for every child’s joyful journey of learning and growth.
